MATASHA LTD (“Matasha”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how and why we use it, who we may share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights available to you.
This Policy applies to the Matasha mobile application, website and related services (the “Platform”). Matasha is intended only for users aged 18 and over.
MATASHA LTD is the controller of the personal information described in this Policy for the purposes of UK data protection law.

You can contact us using the details above if you have questions about this Policy or wish to exercise your data protection rights.
The personal information we collect depends on whether you use Matasha as a Customer or Supplier and how you interact with the Platform.
Customer information may include:
Supplier information may include:
Based on the current app configuration confirmed by our developer, Matasha does not currently use advertising tracking or app analytics tools.
Matasha uses GPS location information for both Customers and Suppliers to provide core local marketplace functionality, including helping match Customer flooring requirements with relevant Suppliers and fitters in the appropriate area.
Your device operating system may ask you for permission before Matasha can access GPS location. Device-level location permissions can normally be managed through your phone settings. We do not sell location information to advertisers.
Customers may upload photographs as part of a flooring enquiry. These photographs are stored using Firebase Storage and may be made available to relevant Suppliers where necessary to understand or respond to the enquiry.
You should avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information in photographs or enquiry descriptions and should only upload content that you have the right to provide.
Supplier applications are manually reviewed before approval. To help establish that an applicant is a genuine flooring business or professional, Matasha may use information supplied by the applicant together with relevant publicly available business information, including Companies House information and publicly available business or online-presence information where applicable.
Verification is intended to help Matasha assess whether businesses meet its Platform standards. It does not constitute a guarantee of a Supplier’s workmanship, conduct, financial standing or future performance. Further information is contained in the Matasha Terms and Conditions.
We may use personal information to:
Depending on the activity, MATASHA LTD may rely on one or more lawful bases under UK data protection law:
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
Matasha is designed to connect Customers with flooring Suppliers and fitters. Information contained in a Customer enquiry may therefore be made available to relevant Suppliers as necessary to provide the marketplace service.
This may include enquiry details, relevant location information and photographs supplied with the enquiry. Suppliers receiving Customer information must use it only for legitimate purposes connected with the relevant enquiry and are responsible for complying with applicable data protection law when they independently use that information.
Matasha uses third-party service providers to operate parts of the Platform. These currently include:
These providers may process personal information on our behalf or, for certain activities, under their own applicable privacy terms. MATASHA LTD does not sell personal information to third parties.
Matasha uses Firebase push-notification services to deliver relevant app notifications, which may include account, enquiry, Supplier or other Platform updates. You can normally control push-notification permissions through your device settings.
Supplier subscription payments are processed through Stripe. Matasha does not need to store full payment-card details
where Stripe processes the payment. We may retain information about subscription status, payment status and related transaction records where necessary to administer accounts and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Matasha may send operational communications needed to administer your account or provide the service, including
registration, account, enquiry, subscription, security or support communications.
Where Matasha sends direct marketing or promotional communications, we will do so in accordance with applicable data protection and electronic-marketing rules. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe option provided or by contacting us. Essential service communications may still be sent.
Our developer has confirmed that Matasha application data is configured to be stored in the UK.
Some third-party service providers used by Matasha are international organisations. Personal information may therefore be processed or accessed outside the UK in connection with their services. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or safeguard will be used.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Platform and meeting legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-related requirements.
Our developer has confirmed that when a user deletes their Matasha account, the user’s active Matasha account data is
deleted and the associated subscription is deleted or cancelled within Stripe as part of the account-deletion process.
Limited information may nevertheless be retained where MATASHA LTD or a service provider is legally required or otherwise lawfully permitted to retain it, for example transaction, accounting, security, fraud-prevention or dispute records.
Matasha uses technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. The Platform uses Firebase services for authentication, database, storage and related functions. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Matasha is intended only for people aged 18 and over. You must be at least 18 to create an account or use the Platform. If we become aware that an account has been created by a person under 18 in breach of this requirement, we may close the account and take appropriate steps regarding the associated personal information.
Matasha does not currently use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users. If this changes, we will update this Policy as required.
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights including:
These rights are not all absolute. To exercise a right, contact info@matasha.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
If you have a concern about how MATASHA LTD uses your personal information, please contact us first at info@matasha.co.uk so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator

Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to the attention of affected users. The latest version will be made available through the Platform and/or Matasha website.
